You are invited to a healing conference at St. Theresa Parish, 158 Old West Hopkinton Rd, Henniker, on Saturday, October 28. We will consider the wounding of abortion and complexities surrounding this issue. We will bring focus on the impact of abortion in culture and on often divergent Christian perspectives within our faith communities. We will explore inner responses and prejudices through a dramatic presentation of one woman’s post-abortive story that pre-dates Roe followed by group discussion. Priests and lay leaders will participate in a panel discussion around the topic: “How can the church intersect present culture to promote a culture of life?” A presentation on Healing Ministry by a ministry leader will prepare us for the option of receiving personal healing ministry, including opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation & prayer with the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. FREE – To register: https://www.showerofroses.org/ N. Olson: words4salt@gmail.com (603) 496-7138 Hosted by: Respect Life, St. Theresa. Pre-registration is required. Option of ordering a bag lunch upon check-in.
To Our Lady of Lourdes – St. Joseph Parishioners, With Father John’s approval, and the permission of the superintendent of NH Catholic schools, we have been given the opportunity to explore the option of becoming a satellite school for Seton Academy, a private Catholic elementary school currently located at Holy Rosary Parish in Rochester. Currently, we are seeing the fruits of Little Blessings Preschool in our own parish and wish to offer a continued Catholic education to these families and families within our parish and surrounding communities. As we continue to explore this option, your prayers are greatly appreciated, and updates will be sent to you as well as dates/times for informational meetings. If you wish to learn more about Seton Academy, please click the link below. Sincerely, Jeannie Garcia - Parish Faith Formation
Distribution of Communion is offered to parishioners who are unable to attend Mass due to personal or family related health concerns and can be received after the Mass dismissal on Saturdays at OLOL from 5-5:15 and Sundays at STJ from 11:15-11:30. Receiving the Blessed Sacrament alone does not take the place of Sunday Mass. Parishioners who receive the Blessed Sacrament outside of the Mass should also prayerfully participate in the Liturgy by viewing a Live Stream or Recorded Mass at home. Please contact Father John if you have any additional questions.
