A scholarship fund is being created in memory of Eric Barbasso, a former parishioner and Knights of Columbus Brother and Grand Knight. Eric was deeply passionate about the Catholic faith and was dedicated to helping others learn and grow closer to Jesus Christ. He was a longtime volunteer in the parish RCIA program and volunteered many hours of his time helping older teens complete missed sacraments. Donations collected will be made available to registered parish families in need of support with faith formation registration fees, Catholic school tuition, Little Blessings Preschool assistance, and RCIA & Youth Formation program materials. A collection jar and mail in donation envelopes will be located at both churches Sunday January 29th thru Sunday February 5 th, during Catholic Schools Week. Checks can be made out to the parish with the scholarship fund written on the memo. Thank you for your support.
Distribution of Communion is offered to parishioners who are unable to attend Mass due to personal or family related health concerns and can be received after the Mass dismissal on Saturdays at OLOL from 5-5:15 and Sundays at STJ from 11:15-11:30. Receiving the Blessed Sacrament alone does not take the place of Sunday Mass. Parishioners who receive the Blessed Sacrament outside of the Mass should also prayerfully participate in the Liturgy by viewing a Live Stream or Recorded Mass at home. Please contact Father John if you have any additional questions.
